Annotatsiya. Mazkur ilmiy maqolada ingliz va o‘zbek tillaridagi vatan homeland konseptiga oid aforizmlar chog‘ishtirma-lingvokulturologik jihatdan tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotda aforizmlarda vatan tushunchasining semantik xususiyatlari, baholovchanlik darajasi, metaforik ifodasi hamda milliy mentalitet bilan bog‘liqligi aniqlanadi. Ingliz aforizmlarida vatan konseptining ko‘proq falsafiy va individualistik ruhda ifodalanishi, o‘zbek aforizmlarida esa uning muqaddaslik, tarixiy xotira va jamoaviy mas’uliyat bilan bog‘lanishi ilmiy misollar asosida yoritiladi.
Abstract. This scientific article analysis of aphorisms related to the concept of homeland in the English and Uzbek languages are analyzed from a cross-linguistic-cultural point of view. In the study, the semantic characteristics of the concept of homeland in aphorisms, the level of appreciation, metaphorical expression, and the connection with national mentality are determined. In English aphorisms, the concept of homeland is expressed in a more philosophical and individualistic spirit, and in Uzbek aphorisms, its connection with sanctity, historical memory and collective responsibility is highlighted on the basis of scientific examples.
