Abstract

Annotation: This article examines how authentic resources can play a pivotal role in teaching grammar to beginner language learners. Authentic resources—materials produced for real-world communication such as menus, simple newspaper articles, videos, and realia—offer learners exposure to language used naturally rather than in contrived textbook contexts. By integrating authentic examples into grammar instruction, teachers not only enrich students’ understanding of grammatical structures in context but also boost motivation, engagement, and cultural awareness. The article discusses the benefits and challenges of using authentic resources, provides practical classroom strategies for scaffolding and adapting these materials to learners’ levels, and explains how such contextualized input helps bridge the gap between controlled practice and everyday language use.
