Abstract: Acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) are the most frequent cause of medical visits in pediatrics, yet their progression to secondary bacterial or severe viral pneumonia remains a leading cause of childhood mortality worldwide. Early prediction of disease outcomes is critical for risk stratification and the optimization of therapeutic interventions. This article examines the multifaceted approach to forecasting outcomes in children, integrating clinical indicators, laboratory biomarkers, scoring systems, and advanced imaging. By synthesized current data, we provide a framework for identifying high-risk patients who may require intensive care escalation.
