Abstract

The study of associative linguistics focuses on the relationships between words, concepts, and meanings that are mentally connected in the human mind. The history of associative linguistics dates back to the late 19th century, where early approaches by scholars like N.V. Krushevsky and M.M. Pokrovsky laid the foundation for understanding how words and their meanings are related in a linguistic context. This paper examines the historical development of associative linguistics, from its inception to its current interdisciplinary applications, and its impact on language theory and cognitive science.
