Abstract

This article covers views on cognitive linguistics and presents a linguo‑cognitive analysis of metaphors found in poetic texts. It argues that metaphor is not merely an artistic device, but one of the fundamental cognitive mechanisms of human thought. By examining metaphorical expressions, it analyzes how people understand the world and express emotions and concepts. Using examples from poetry, the article demonstrates the conceptual foundations of metaphors and their connections to frames and scenarios.
