Annotation. This article defines the priority areas for the development of the general insurance sector in Uzbekistan, and identifies and analyzes the main factors that impede the stable and effective functioning of the insurance system, in particular the general insurance sector. It also describes the results that are expected to be achieved in the field of general insurance through the implementation of these areas.
