Abstract

This article analyzes the trade and economic relations of the Khiva Khanate in the 19th century with neighboring Eastern countries such as Russia, Afghanistan, India, and Iran. It provides important information about the activities of Afghan and British merchants, their mutual economic competition, as well as the products cultivated in Khiva and surrounding regions and their commercial value. The article highlights Khiva's role in the context of international trade relations in the Central Asian markets of the 19th century.
