Abstract
Compliments are a common form of social interaction that can significantly influence interpersonal relationships and individual psychological well-being. This article reviews the existing literature on the effects of compliments, exploring their role in enhancing self-esteem, fostering social bonds, and promoting positive behaviors. The findings suggest that compliments not only benefit the recipient but also the giver, highlighting the importance of this seemingly simple social exchange.
