Music has consistently been a means of expressing social and cultural
values throughout human history. It is important not only as an art form, but also as
a tool that enriches the spiritual and emotional world of a person, uniting various
thoughts and views in society. Especially in the minds of elementary school students,
it is necessary that the formation of ideas of tolerance through music becomes an
important part of the educational process. Tolerance, which is a respect for the
opinion, culture and lifestyle of others, is one of the basic principles for ensuring
peace and harmony among people. In this context, teaching these values through
music plays an important role in the emotional and social development of students
