Abstract

Writing is a foundational skill in secondary education, essential not only for academic success but also for effective communication beyond the classroom. However, teaching writing presents numerous challenges, including varying student proficiency levels, limited classroom time, and insufficient instructional resources. This paper explores effective approaches for teaching writing 
in secondary schools, focusing on methods such as the process writing approach, peer collaboration, technology integration, and genre-based instruction. Drawing from educational research and classroom-based evidence, the study highlights how these 
strategies can enhance students' writing competence, creativity, and confidence. The paper concludes by offering practical recommendations for educators to implement these approaches and foster a more engaging, supportive writing environment. G
