Hozirgi kunda shox parda transplantatsiyasi ko’z sohasidagi malum kasalliklarni davolash uchun qo’llaniladi. Ushbu operatsiya ba'zan keratoplastika deb ataladi. Shox parda ko'zning shaffof, gumbazsimon yuzasidir. Ko'zga yorug'lik shox parda orqali kiradi. Ko'zning aniq ko'rish qobiliyatida katta rol o'ynaydi.
