Yolg‘on gapirish insonning fiziologik holatiga sezilarli ta’sir ko‘rsatadi. Tadqiqotlar shuni ko‘rsatadiki, yolg‘on aytilganda yurak urish chastotasi ortishi, nafas olish ritmining o‘zgarishi, ter bezlarining faollashuvi va qon bosimining oshishi kuzatiladi. Ushbu maqolada yolg‘on gapirish paytida sodir bo‘ladigan asosiy fiziologik o‘zgarishlar va ularning neyrobiologik asoslari tahlil qilinadi. Shuningdek, 
yolg‘onni aniqlashda qo‘llaniladigan poligrafiya usullari va zamonaviy neyrofiziologik yondashuvlarning samaradorligi muhokama qilinadi. Tadqiqot natijalari inson fiziologiyasini chuqurroq tushunishga hamda huquqni muhofaza qilish va psixologiya sohalarida amaliy qo‘llash imkoniyatlarini kengaytirishga xizmat qiladi.
