Annotatsiya. Ushbu maqolada tilshunoslikning onomastika bo‘limi, xususan, turdosh otlarning atoqli otlarga (toponimlarga) ko‘chishi jarayoni — transonimizatsiya hodisasi tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqot davomida geografik obyektlarning nomlanishida asos bo‘lib xizmat qilgan o‘simlik dunyosi, hayvonot olami va relyef shakllari bilan bog‘liq turdosh otlarning semantik taraqqiyoti yoritilgan.
Abstract: This article explores the onomastic branch of linguistics, specifically focusing on the process of transonymization—the transition of common nouns (appellatives) into proper names (toponyms). The study analyzes the semantic development of common nouns related to flora, fauna, and relief forms that serve as the foundation for naming geographical objects. The research highlights how language utilizes its internal lexical resources to create a stable nominative system. By examining various toponymic layers, the author identifies the mechanisms through which a general descriptive term evolves into a specific, fixed geographical identifier.
