Abstract

Abstract:  This  article  explores  the  influence  of  cultural  background  on  the
comprehension  and  usage  of  English  idioms.  Idioms  are  deeply  rooted  in  cultural
contexts, making them challenging for non-native speakers. The study examines how
cultural awareness facilitates idiom acquisition and suggests pedagogical strategies for
effective teaching.
