Abstract:Hepatitis is an inflammatory condition of the liver caused by viral
infections, autoimmune disorders, or toxic substances. The disease leads to
hepatocellular injury, fibrosis, and, in severe cases, cirrhosis or liver failure. This
article explores the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying hepatitis, focusing on
viral hepatitis types (A, B, C, D, and E) and their impact on liver function.
